Is this a replacement for my health insurance?
No. This is meant to be a supplement to your health insurance. If you have no insurance at all, this is a great option for you to get access to doctors at a fraction of the cost. The KMD membership can save you money on co-pays and prescriptions each and every month.
Who are the medical providers we will be consulting with?
All of KonnectMD's providers undergo a rigorous credentialing process based on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines. All providers are licensed by the applicable licensing boards for the states where they provide services.
When should I use KonnectMD?
KonnectMD is perfect for common medical ailments that require prescription treatment. Our service provides remote consultations with licensed healthcare providers for medical and behavioral health issues. Patients can discuss their concerns and receive a diagnosis, treatment recommendations and medication, if necessary. However, in-person visits may be required for emergencies, physical examinations or diagnostic testing.
How much does a KonnectMD visit cost?
Members have free virtual urgent care and counseling consultations, except for primary care visits, which cost $25.
How many family members are included in my membership?
You can have up to 7 family members on your plan. Once you sign up you log into your members portal and at the bottom of the page, click on "Add a Family Member." It's that easy.
What if I have a medical question that does not require medical attention?
